Job Title Officer Network Support
Job Description 1. Deploy desktop computers to the end users as per company policy and set of procedures.
2. Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance, OS and anti-virus updates.
3. Ensure smooth functioning of LAN, WAN / WLAN in the company including internet connection and intercity links status.
4. Investigating, diagnosing and solving desktop computer software, network and hardware faults
5. Maintaining records of software licenses, managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.
6. Supporting the roll-out of new applications; and setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
7. Establishing a good working relationship with staff/users and other team members
8. Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment
9. Ensuring deployment and uptime of projection and video conferencing equipment
10. Any other task assigned by the Manager IT Infrastructure and Security
Skills Required The Network Support Officer should posses the following skills:
1. A good knowledge of the Windows 7 and preferable Windows 8 operating system
2. Good understanding of MS Active Directory, Configuration Management and Anti-virus tools.
3. Must have a command of the desktop hardware with the ability to replace parts at the device level.
4. Sound understanding of Local Area Networking.
5. Should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors, systems administrators and other related service providers.
Education and/or Qualifications Minimum: Bachelors in Computer Science
Experience Minimum: 0-1 year
Maximum: 3 years
Salary Range (PKR) Market compatible
