Senior Officer Supply Chain

This position is responsible to assist the supply chain function in completion of all activities accurately and timely. Standard (not exhaustive) requirements of the position are listed below:

Job Description

  1. Liaise with various departments to ensure timely procurement of raw materials, equipment, and supplies based on operational needs.
  2. Conduct in-depth market research to gather data on pricing trends and material availability.
  3. Identify and evaluate potential vendors/suppliers, obtain quotations, and lead negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  4. Prepare estimated cost sheets for imports, enter relevant data into the ERP system, and generate purchase orders for management approval.
  5. Verify that all items delivered by vendors meet the specifications and quality standards defined by the user department and purchase order.
  6. Arrange transportation and customs clearance for prompt delivery of materials from vendor premises to the factory.
  7. Coordinate with service providers for scheduling, expediting and tracking of shipments.
  8. Coordinate with the Finance department to ensure timely processing of vendor payments.
  9. Make arrangements for returning rejected items / goods / materials to suppliers.
  10. Prepare monthly management reports.
